Billy Zeoli

President

Billy Zeoli stands as a distinguished leader with an illustrious career marked by exceptional contributions to community advocacy, design, and education. As the President of The United Bipartisan Coalition of New York, Inc., he has exhibited unparalleled leadership, skillfully navigating and uniting diverse political factions to advance collective progress and foster community cohesion.

Billy’s entrepreneurial prowess is evidenced by his role as Owner and Interior Decorating Specialist at NEO Design Inc., a prestigious firm he founded in 1992. His steadfast commitment to excellence and his keen eye for design have established him as a leading figure in the interior design industry, where he continues to set high standards for elegance and functionality.

In his critical role as Coordinator and Trainer for the Board of Elections, Billy Zeoli ensures the integrity and efficiency of the electoral process with unwavering dedication. His leadership in overseeing electoral training and operations is fundamental to maintaining democratic principles and ensuring that every vote is counted accurately, and every citizen’s voice is heard.

His commitment to public service is further exemplified through his roles as a Supervisor for the United States Census Bureau and a Proctor for the Scholastic Assessment Tests. These positions highlight his dedication to accurate data collection and his support for educational advancement, reflecting his strategic approach to operational efficiency and student success.

Billy is also a dedicated Member of the South Brooklyn Lions Club. The Lions Club International is a global network of volunteers who work together to address community needs and improve the lives of people around the world. Through various service projects and initiatives, the Lions Club focuses on areas such as vision, hunger, environment, childhood cancer, and diabetes, embodying a commitment to making a positive impact on their local and global communities.

A dedicated parishioner of Saint Anselm Roman Catholic Church, Billy integrates his strong work ethic and approachable demeanor with active faith and community involvement. His academic achievements from Fordham have equipped him with advanced skills in administration, fundraising, and staff development, further enhancing his capability as a leader.

Renowned for his people-centric approach, exceptional communication skills, and extensive experience in marketing and fundraising, Billy Zeoli embodies a profound commitment to community service and a relentless drive to effect positive change. His leadership and dedication resonate through all his professional and personal endeavors, marking him as a transformative force in every aspect of his work.

John Yigar

Vice President

John Yigar is a respected member of the Bay Ridge community, known for his unwavering commitment to service, family, and youth development. Among his proudest accomplishments is being the devoted father of an incredible 12-year-old son, a role he cherishes deeply.  A proud member of the Local 817 Teamsters Union, John provides essential transportation services for New York City’s motion picture industry, playing a vital role behind the scenes of countless productions.

John is also an integral supporter of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. His active participation in these organizations during his youth reflects his deep belief in their mission: to prepare young people for life through the development of essential skills such as discipline, planning, resilience, social awareness, and moral responsibility. He has been involved in a wide range of life-shaping experiences within the Scouts, including summer camps—an environment he considers particularly impactful in fostering growth, confidence, and character in youth.

His passion for child development is heartfelt. He recognizes the powerful role programs like those offered by UBC play in shaping future generations. These initiatives, in his view, provide children with the emotional, mental, and social tools necessary to lead meaningful lives, pursue new passions, and cultivate a positive outlook on the world. John believes strongly in nurturing the transition from youth to adulthood—so that a boy may grow into a man, and a girl into a woman—with strength, purpose, and integrity.

Renowned for his people-first approach and exceptional communication skills, John Yigar is a transformative force. Whether in his professional responsibilities or community involvement, his dedication consistently leaves a lasting impact, making him a vital contributor to every cause he embraces.


Tom Stanten

Vice President

Tom Alexander Stanten was born on the Upper East Side of New York City, where he resided from 1974 to 1998. He also spent formative years at a second home in Clinton, Connecticut, from 1978 to 1994. Tom’s maternal roots trace back to Oslo, Norway, while his father, a World War II veteran, hailed from Crown Heights, Brooklyn, with a heritage that includes Russian and Italian ancestry. He is the eldest of four siblings, having one sister and two brothers.

Tom graduated with high honors from high school in Clinton, Connecticut, and subsequently earned a full academic scholarship to the New England Institute of Technology. He graduated with an Associate's Degree in Science for HVAC. In 1997, he relocated to the Bensonhurst and Bath Beach area of Brooklyn, where he worked as a waiter and bartender at an Italian restaurant.

In 2000, Tom enlisted in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of 3rd Class Petty Officer. He served in the G4 division as an Aviation Ordnance handler aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Following the events of September 11, he participated in the aircraft carrier's first counter-offensive operation in the Arabian Sea, a mission lasting 120 days alongside fellow service members.

After concluding his military service, Tom returned to Sunset Park, Brooklyn, where he enrolled at the New York Institute of Technology. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Science, Communications, and Behavioral Science while working nights as a security guard at the Bloomberg media office.

Tom then joined the New York Police Department, beginning his career at the 75th precinct in East New York, Brooklyn. In this role, he was dedicated to serving the community and played an instrumental part in the Street Narcotics Enforcement Unit (SNEU), focusing on the removal of firearms and illegal drugs from the streets. Tom later advanced to the position of Detective Investigator in the Brooklyn South Organized Crime Control Bureau, where he specialized in investigations of opium distribution. He also participated in dignitary protection operations under the NYPD Intelligence Division.

Following his retirement, Tom pursued further education at CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice, obtaining a Master's degree in Security Management, Emergency Management, and Public Administration Management. While studying, he gained experience in Executive Protection for various large technical and entertainment companies, as well as high-end retail businesses.

For nearly a decade, Tom worked as a K9 handler specializing in bomb detection with MSA Security, safeguarding the outer perimeter of the United Nations, the Times Square theater district, and numerous sports arenas and high-profile events. As a dedicated single parent, he is also actively engaged in raising his teenage daughter.

Tom remains committed to community involvement, holding officer positions in local organizations and contributing to various philanthropic charities.


Michael McEvoy, EA

Treasurer

A proud native of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Michael McEvoy boasts over two decades of distinguished service with the City of New York. His career in public service is complemented by an extensive background in accounting, underscored by successful completion of all CPA examinations. Michael’s credentials also include certifications as a Certified IRS Enrolled Agent, Certified Financial Advisor, and Insurance Broker.

Michael’s professional portfolio reflects a deep expertise in financial strategy and regulatory compliance, driving initiatives that promote fiscal responsibility and transparency within municipal frameworks. His role has involved spearheading comprehensive financial planning, optimizing budgetary allocations, and implementing robust financial controls.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Michael is a passionate community advocate dedicated to social equity and community development. His active involvement in local initiatives and his leadership in various community organizations highlight his commitment to fostering sustainable growth and resilience in the greater New York area.

As a dedicated family man, Michael’s personal values align with his professional mission: to drive positive change and contribute to the enduring vitality of his hometown. His blend of technical acumen, public service dedication, and community-focused advocacy positions him as a pivotal force in shaping a prosperous future for New York City.


Sky G. Dogan

Secretary

Sky Dogan, a Brooklyn native with a robust background in finance and communications, has built a diverse and successful career over the past 25 years. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting with a minor in English from Brooklyn College, providing her with a solid foundation in both media and written communication.

Sky's professional journey has been predominantly shaped by her extensive experience at JP Morgan Chase, where she excelled in Client Service and Treasury Services. In these roles, she managed the intricate financial needs of commercial clients, skillfully delivering customized solutions and cultivating enduring client relationships. Her work required navigating complex financial landscapes and ensuring the efficient execution of services tailored to individual client needs.

In her recent career shift, Sky chose to leave JP Morgan Chase to explore new opportunities and embrace fresh challenges. This transition reflects her commitment to continual professional growth and her readiness to tackle new ventures. Outside of her career, Sky is a devoted mother to two children and enjoys a range of personal interests including karaoke, travel, and spending time with her cherished cats. Her dedication to both her professional responsibilities and personal passions highlights her balanced approach to a fulfilling life.

Judette Kraics 

Advisory Council

Judette Kraics is a dedicated community leader and advocate with a strong commitment to helping those in need. She served as a Crisis Counselor with Project Hope at Project Hospitality in Staten Island during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Each December, in celebration of her birthday, she organizes a fundraising toy drive for the Secret Sandy Claus Project, which was established in response to the impact of Hurricane Sandy in New York in October 2012.

With over 20 years of experience in the service industry in Bay Ridge, Judette currently holds the position of Commissioner of the Bay Ridge Pool League. In addition to her professional endeavors, she is a devoted single mother raising her autistic son. Her passion for community service and support for vulnerable populations demonstrates her unwavering dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Rebecca White

Advisory Council

Meet Rebecca White, a dedicated member of our community with 37 years of passionate political activism. For over three decades, she has been a proud champion of ballot initiatives and a steadfast supporter of the Green Party, serving in various roles such as a State Committee Member, campaign treasurer, petition coordinator, and presidential delegate. Rebecca’s commitment to community service runs deep—she’s often the first to pick up the phone for phone banks on her days off and has a natural talent for organizing, always ready to collate and coordinate efforts that bring us together.

Her political outlook is rooted in progressivism and fiscal responsibility, reflecting her desire to build a fairer, more transparent society. She is a strong advocate for ranked voting, believing in systems that empower every voice in our neighborhood.

Beyond politics, Rebecca’s passions enrich our community fabric. She loves exploring history, urban planning, music, art, and science fiction. A dedicated fan of the New York Cosmos and the Women’s US Soccer Team, she also enjoys relaxing with Kimberley and binge-watching shows. Living with her brother-in-law in Bay Ridge, she shares her home with two beloved cats. Originally from Oregon, Rebecca found her heart in New York, drawn by its vibrant culture, art, food, and music scene. Now, after more time in Brooklyn than her home state, she’s proud to call this neighborhood her home.

Rebecca believes that all aspects of the political process should be transparent, verifiable, and conducted with dignity. She has learned from friends and community members who prioritize integrity over victory—people who set the highest standards for fair elections and honest representation. Together, we can uphold these values and work toward a future built on trust and unity.

Patricia Casola

Advisory Council

Born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Coney Island, Patricia Casola was shaped by the vibrant culture of her surroundings. Her mother was a dedicated stay-at-home mom, while her father was a talented commercial artist and sign painter, renowned for designing and constructing the iconic Cyclops that adorned the Spook-A-Rama, an attraction that also made its way to the Brooklyn Museum. This legacy instilled a deep sense of pride and admiration for her father's creativity. Her mother, with her nurturing spirit, made every holiday and their home special, creating a warm and loving environment.

Patricia's educational journey began at Our Lady of Solace Grammar School before continuing at Bishop Kearney High School, where she participated in dance and gymnastics—passions that filled those years with joy and energy.

Professionally, Patricia gravitated towards health, nutrition, and disease prevention, dedicating many years to working in corporate wellness centers and health clubs. She taught dance and fitness classes to a diverse age range, from children to seniors, providing both group classes and one-on-one training.

In 2008, she pursued further education at Kingsborough Community College, earning an Associate's Degree in Applied Science for Physical Therapist Assistance. This academic achievement allowed her to gain invaluable insight into the healthcare system, working in various settings, including hospital acute care, inpatient rehabilitation in the Neurosciences Department, and outpatient orthopedics. Each role presented its own challenges and rewards, reinforcing her commitment to health and wellness.

Throughout her life, Patricia has been dedicated to helping people maintain their health, heal their bodies, and embrace the philosophy of food as medicine. This commitment extends to her love for animals, both current companions and past pets, who teach her the importance of presence and mindfulness.

With a wealth of experience and knowledge, Patricia is eager to contribute to the UBC Community, working towards achieving the organization's goals. She looks forward to being part of a collaborative effort to create a healthier future for all in the community.


Thomas L. Pool

Advisory Council

Thomas L. Pool, a native of Jacksonville and raised in the vibrant city of Pensacola, Florida, has carved a unique path as a multifaceted artist and entrepreneur. After studying architecture at Louisiana State University, Thomas launched his career by creating custom-made furniture, blending functionality with artistic vision. His innovative spirit led him to expand his repertoire to include custom draperies, Roman shades, and an array of soft furnishings, earning the trust and admiration of renowned clients like Calvin Klein, Sting, and Tiffany & Co.

For the past 25 years, Thomas has called Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, home, where he continues to weave his creativity into the fabric of his community. A self-taught computer whiz, he mastered design and editing software in just six months, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in an ever-evolving industry. His talent extended into journalism, where he contributed to the New York Art & Entertainment Magazine, further solidifying his presence in the arts.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Thomas is a soft-spoken, keen-eyed craftsman, whose artistic flair is reflected not just in design, but also in his love for classical music as a proficient pianist. His passion for the arts transcends personal enjoyment, as he actively engages in producing and directing fundraising events, fostering collaboration and support within his community.

As an Artistic Advisory Commitee member of the United Bipartisan Coalition of New York, Inc. , Thomas brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective that transcends political boundaries, inspiring creativity and community spirit in all who have the pleasure of working alongside him.

Benjamin Yavel

Advisory Council

Born and raised across the vibrant neighborhoods of Brooklyn, Ben Yavel has become a beloved fixture in the community he calls home. After brief stints at SUNY Purchase and a sunny chapter in Florida, Ben has settled in Dyker Heights, where he cherishes his role as a husband and proud father of three.

A multifaceted talent, Ben transitioned from a rapper to a successful songwriter, having graced clubs with his performances and penned songs for renowned artists, including Sugar Ray. Music may have been his first passion, but his commitment to fostering community and building friendships now takes center stage, particularly at his daughters' school, where he actively engages with families and parents alike.

In addition to his artistic endeavors, Ben is a proud part-owner of a local sausage and hot dog company that produces all of its products in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. This venture not only fuels his entrepreneurial spirit but also reinforces his dedication to supporting local businesses and the community.

On most weekdays, you can find Ben in the heart of Park Slope, where he works as an accountant for co-ops and condos. His role allows him to engage with co-op boards and community members across Brooklyn, further strengthening his ties to the area he loves.

Married for over five years to his incredible Native American wife, Ben attributes much of his open-mindedness and perspective to her influence. Together, they navigate the joys and challenges of family life while embracing the diverse tapestry of Brooklyn culture. Ben’s journey is one of creativity, community, and connection, and he is excited to bring that spirit to the bipartisan club.


Martha Rivera

Advisory Council

Martha has been a dedicated Bay Ridge resident since 2001 and has served as President of her Coop Board for many years. She prides herself on fostering solid, trustworthy relationships within her community. With a strong background in finance, Martha is known for her attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.

An active participant in local events, she enjoys the outdoors, traveling, music, and dining out with family and friends. Her commitment to her community and her love for connecting with others make her a valuable asset to Bay Ridge.


Kimberley G. Thomas

Advisory Council

Kimberley Gayle Thomas is a passionate and dedicated individual with a lifelong interest in the entertainment industry, which began at the tender age of four. During the pandemic, Kimberley seized the opportunity to enhance her skills through a variety of online classes, furthering her commitment to her dream of appearing on television and in action films.

At 18, she gained valuable experience by working with the Board of Elections, demonstrating her engagement with civic duties and her desire to make a positive impact in her community.

Beyond her aspirations in entertainment, Kimberley enjoys a diverse array of interests, including sports, arts and crafts, nature photography, and a love for animals, particularly cats. She embraces challenges and thrills in activities such as roller coasters and heights. In her leisure time, Kimberley finds joy in reading, exploring the worlds of anime and comics, and engaging in creative hobbies like crochet and knitting. Additionally, she practices yoga and Pilates and enjoys video games, making her a well-rounded individual with a multifaceted perspective.

Kimberley Thomas embodies the spirit of curiosity and creativity, and she is excited to contribute her unique experiences and insights to the club.

Lisa Luciano

Advisory Council

Lisa Luciano, a native of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, has been channeling her creativity and academic talents since childhood. A proud alumna of St. Anselm (now Bayridge Catholic Academy), Lisa is committed to service and community engagement, striving to make a positive impact through her business practices. As the Principal and owner of Cypher Design Inc., she merges her strong educational foundation—holding a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a minor in Filmmaking from Pratt Institute—with a passion for design.

 


Liam McCabe 

Advisory Council

Liam McCabe is an FDNY EMT, small business owner, and lifelong Brooklyn resident who has dedicated his career to public service and community advocacy. With extensive experience serving as a staff member for both the New York City Council and the US House of Representatives, Liam has played a vital role in shaping policy and supporting the campaigns of numerous elected officials. His dedication to improving his community continues in his role as a Republican District Leader in Bay Ridge, where he advocates for the needs of local residents and works to foster civic engagement.

Liam is a passionate believer in the power of bi-partisanship, understanding that solving the complex political challenges facing our society requires both cooperation and compromise. He has witnessed firsthand how the growing polarization in our city, state, and nation has created barriers to progress and driven a wedge between communities, organizations, and even families. Committed to bridging these divides, Liam strives to promote collaboration and open dialogue, building a future where differences are embraced and solutions are found through mutual understanding.

In addition to his professional and political endeavors, Liam proudly serves on the boards of multiple nonprofits that support EMTs and paramedics, reflecting his deep commitment to the emergency services community. As a Specialist in the New York Guard, Liam continues his dedication to public service through his involvement in state-level emergency response efforts. His past volunteer work also includes serving as a union delegate and shop steward, coaching his son's baseball and basketball teams, volunteering with BRAVO Ambulance, and raising awareness and funds for homeless veterans.

A lifelong learner, Liam is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Cornell University. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Francis College, a degree in Paralegal Studies, and a certificate from the CUNY School of Labor. Outside of his many professional commitments, Liam enjoys spending quality time with his family—his wife Christine, son Hudson, and their three dogs—along with traveling and exploring the endless bounty of New York State.


Jordan Fischman

Advisory Council

Jordan Fischman began his fitness journey at the age of 17, transforming his life after overcoming obesity. This profound change ignited his passion for health and wellness, ultimately leading him to become a personal trainer, a role he has committed himself to for the past 11 years. Jordan wholeheartedly believes in the power of fitness—not only as a means to improve physical health but also as a vital component of mental well-being. The significant impact that fitness has had on his life continues to inspire him as he empowers others on their own journeys.

In addition to his fitness career, Jordan is a dedicated advocate for mental health, recognizing that many individuals suffer in silence without access to the resources and support they need to navigate life's challenges. He aims to bring the wisdom he's gained from his personal experiences to UBC, fostering a more robust dialogue around mental health and advocating for initiatives that enhance well-being. His mission is clear: to stand strong in support of mental health initiatives and to collaborate with organizations dedicated to its improvement.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Jordan enjoys expressing his creativity through music, frequently attending open mics, where he performs as a fingerstyle guitarist. This passion for music complements his work in fitness and mental health, allowing him to connect with others and promote joy and self-expression in various forms. He is excited about the opportunity to contribute to UBC's mission and make a positive impact in the lives of those served by the organization.


Maura Jamie

Advisory Council

Maura Jamie is a passionate advocate, creative storyteller, and a committed force for positive change. Raised in Princeton, NJ, she earned her Associate’s Degree in Photography from Suffolk County Community College, where she expresses her artistic talent by capturing the genuine emotions of everyday people and finding extraordinary beauty in ordinary moments. Maura has dedicated her life to raising awareness, breaking stigmas surrounding addiction and mental health, and promoting harm reduction. Through her voice and social media, she reaches countless individuals, offering support and spreading hope. Her authenticity and commitment empower others as they navigate their healing journeys. Deeply believing in the power of unity and collective action, Maura excels at bringing people together to create solutions and inspire growth, encouraging everyone to be the best versions of themselves. Guided by kindness, gratitude, and love, she reminds us that we can overcome even the toughest challenges. Maura’s work exemplifies resilience, compassion, and the strength of the human spirit.
